1. License

Humlet grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Humlet Transcribe on macOS for personal or business use, subject to these terms and applicable law.

2. Free product and provider costs

Humlet has no subscription fee. Local transcription has no per-use provider charge. If you configure a third-party provider, that provider may charge you directly under its own pricing and account terms.

3. Third-party providers and API keys

You are responsible for choosing providers, managing your API keys, protecting credentials, reviewing provider terms, and monitoring provider usage and billing. Humlet does not receive or store your API keys and does not proxy provider requests.

4. Recording consent and sensitive content

You are responsible for complying with recording consent, workplace, confidentiality, privacy, and other laws that apply to your use. Do not record people, meetings, calls, or sensitive environments unless you have the right to do so.

Be careful before sending confidential, regulated, or sensitive content to any third-party model provider.

5. Accuracy

Speech-to-text models may make mistakes. Always review transcripts before relying on them, sending them, publishing them, or using them for decisions.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Humlet to violate law, infringe rights, bypass provider restrictions, harvest secrets, impersonate others, or process content you are not allowed to process.

7. Updates

Humlet may change, add, or remove features over time. Local model and provider availability may change based on operating system support, provider APIs, and technical constraints.

8. Ownership and feedback

Humlet and its website, app design, code, names, and branding are owned by Thomas Weich or its licensors. You keep ownership of your content. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it to improve Humlet without obligation to compensate you.

9. No warranty

Humlet is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for a specific use, or that transcripts will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Humlet and Thomas Weich are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages, or for third-party provider billing, quality, outages, or data handling.

11. Termination

You may stop using Humlet at any time. We may stop providing the app or website, or restrict access where necessary to protect the product, users, or legal obligations.

12. Law and venue

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Zurich, Switzerland have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you another venue that cannot be waived.
